DRAWINGS

Drawing is the foundation of my practice. Like many artists, I sometimes wish I could paint as directly as I draw. On paper, ideas, emotions, memories, fantasies, concepts for paintings, and fragments of daily life emerge instantly. Drawing allows me to work anywhere, capturing thoughts as they appear. While many of these works function as sketches or studies, others stand as autonomous artworks alongside my paintings. My archive has grown into an overwhelming collection, and here I share a selection of drawings from over the years—each one able to be experienced on its own.
